(Pippett) Gage, 88, Stanberry, died April 7, 1999, at a health-care centery in Stanberry. Mrs. Gage had been employed as a dietician at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. She also had been a teacher at the West Sager Rural School in Gentry County. Born in Randolph, Iowa, on Jan. 8, 1911, she lived in Branson and Springfield before moving to Stanberry. She was a high school graduate and attended college for two years. Mrs. Gage was a member of the First Baptist Chruch, Rebekah Lodge, TLC Club and the board of the Senior Citizens Center, all of Stanberry. On Dec. 22, 1933, she married William H. Gage in Alanthus. He preceded her in death in 1988. Mrs. Gage was also preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin D. and Jessa L. Pippett; two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include three sons, Rev. William K. Gage, Humboldt, KS.; Larry Gage, Sacramento, CA., and Tom Gage, Columbia; a brother, Gene Pippitt, Twin Falls, ID.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and four step-great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held on April 10 at the Johnson Funeral Home, with burial in High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry. Memorials may be sent to Pine View Manor or First Baptist Church, both in Stanberry.
