The Tri-County News; Friday, July 27, 2001: LaVonne (Buckridge) Gunter, 87,
Stanberry, died July 22, 2001 at her home.

Mrs. Gunter was a dental assistant for Dr. Dix  in  Stanberry  for  several
years.

Born on Jan. 22, 1914, in Stanberry, Mrs. Gunter, a homemaker, attended the
First Baptist Church, Stanberry.

On March 19, 1943, she married Robert E. Gunter who died in 1981.

Mrs. Gunter also was preceded in death  by  her  parents,  Lee  and  Temple
Buckridge and two grandchildren, Brenda McGinley and Richard McGinley.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda McGinley, Darlington;  a  brother,  Bob
Buckridge, Stanberry; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held July 25 at Roberson-Polley Chapel with  burial  in  High
Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry.
