News-Press; Monday, October 17, 2005: Albert A. Hansen 1924-2005; STANBERRY, Mo. - Albert A. Hansen, 80, Stanberry, passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at an Albany, Mo., hospital. Albert was born Dec. 15,1924, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was the son of Albert A. and Bertha (Currie) Hansen. On Oct. 25, 1945, he married Betty Goodwin. She preceded him in death April 5, 2000. He also was preceded in death by his parent; and one grandson, Michael VanVactor. Albert, a Navy veteran, was a quartermaster serving on the USS Langley during World War II. He was a member of the Stanberry United Methodist Church and the Raymond Sager American Legion Post No. 260 of Stanberry. Albert was a pharmacist, having owned Hansen Pharmacy in Stanberry for over 30 years. Survivors: two daughters, Diane VanVactor and husband Richard of Grant City, Mo., and Alison Deary and husband Pat of Essexville, Mich.; three granddaughters, Beth Brown, Alissa Welzel and Courtney Deary four grandsons, Brian Pullen Paul (P.J.) VanVactor, Kevin Pullen and Chris Deary; two great-grandchildren, Keaton Brown and Jade Diaz. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Stanberry The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the chapel, where friends may call anytime after 2 p.m. Monday.
