Heyde, 64, Stanberry, died Wednesday, Mar. 30, 1994, at his home. Mr. Heyde, a lifelong resident of the Stanberry area was employed by the Wabash Railroad for 10 years. He also worked for the Certain-Teed Co. in Kansas City, Kan. He graduated from the Stanberry high school and served in the Navy during the Korean War, receiving a Purple Heart. He married Phyllis Krea at Mount Ayr, Iowa, in 1961. She survives. Mr. Heyde was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. Additional survivors include two sons, James L. and William F., both of St. Joseph; two stepsons, Craig Vinson, Arkansas, and Steve Vinson, Florida; a stepdaughter, Audrey Leppo, Kacumba, Calif.; three brothers, Harlan, Moberly; Harry, Southgate, Mich.; and William, Poway, Calif.; and two grandchildren. Memorial services were Apr. 1 at R. Miller & Sons Funeral Home, Stanberry. The body was cremated.
