Born Feb. 8, 1904, at Elmo, Mrs. Hill was the daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Minnie (Miller) McMichael. She was reared in New Hampton. She married John Webster Hill Dec. 31, 1921, at New Hampton. He died Apr. 8, 1986. She lived most of her married life in the Lafayette-Island City communities before moving to Stanberry several years ago. Mrs. Hill was a homemaker and a nurse's aid at the Harmony Hill Nursing Home and Plainview Nursing Home, both of Stanberry, retiring in 1970. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stanberry and the Lafayette Community Club. Mrs. Hill also was preceded in death by a son, Calvin; a daughter, June M.; and a brother, Beldon McMichael. Surviving are a son, Kenneth, King City; a daughter, Darlene J. Wall, Excelsior Springs; four brothers, Wilbur McMichael, Trimble; and Ray, Don, and Glen D. McMichael, all of Kansas City; four sisters, Alta Beery, Lee's Summit; Rose Arthur, Blue Springs; Wilma Reed, Dearborn; and Betty Shimp, Kansas City; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were Apr. 26 at Johnson Funeral Home, Stanberry. Burial was in High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry. The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church, Stanberry.
