All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Tri-County News, Friday, May 5, 2000: Eleanor (Chenoweth) Law, 85, Stanberry, died April 28, 2000, at Gentry County Memorial Hospital in Albany. Born in Darlington on Dec. 18, 1914, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stanberry and WMU. Mrs. Law was a homemaker and also worked for the Bakyr Mercantile and D&R Dress Shop in Stanberry, as a clerk, until her retirement. ON May 28, 1932, she married Ovid B. Law. He died in 1988. Mrs. Law was also preceded in death by a son, William; her parents, HOmer and Bertha Chenoweth; and three sisters, Wilma Sexton, Ruth Monger and Phyllis Chenoweth. Survivors include a sister, Mary McNeese, Stanberry; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on May 1 at the First Baptist Church in Stanberry with burial in High Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Roberson-Polley Chapel, Stanberry. Memorial may be given to her church.
