All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Stanberry Headlight, Gentry County, Missouri, Thursday, September 5, 1957: Services For Mrs. Ermel Liggett: Final services were held Saturday afternoon at the Stanberry Christian church for Mrs. Ermel Liggett, 70, who was taken by death Thursday at the home of a son, Forrest Liggett, south of Stanberry. She had been ill for several months, but her death was unexpected. Services were conducted by the pastor, the Rev. O. Glenn Crosby, and burial was in High Ridge cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Mortuary. Other survivors include another son, Robert S. Ligget, Anchorage, Alaska; three brothers, Fred Crawford, Waterloo, Ia.; Lloyd Crawford, California, and her twin, Emmett Crawford, Denver, Colo.; and three sisters, Mrs. Lela C. Davis, Lincoln, Neb., Mrs. Edna Goff Rosamond, Calif., and Mrs. Josephine McGrew, Denver, Colo. Mrs. Ligget, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Crawford was born July 29, 1887, in Graham, Mo. She and A. R. Liggett were married in Graham on Nov. 5, 1908. Mr. Liggett, who farmed most of his life in this area, but who also saw service in th real estate and banking businesses, preceded her in death in 1954.
