Jesse Chilton Mann, 84, Stanberry, died Oct. 21, 1994, at the Gentry County
Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Mr. Mann, a farmer, was a graduate of Stanberry high school and a life-long
resident of that community.

He served in the Army during World War II, and was a member of the Veterans
of Foreign Wars Post  of  St.  Joseph  and  the  American  Legion  Post  of
Stanberry. Mr. Mann  also  was  a  member  of  the  First  Baptist  Church,
Stanberry.

In 1954, he married Alta M. Ross at Kansas City. She survives at the  home.
He also is survived by a sister, Dorothy Jensen of Stanberry.

Mr. Mann was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin  Mann,  and  a  sister,
Margaret L. Miller.

Funeral services were held on Oct. 24 at the  Johnson  Funeral  Home,  with
burial in the High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry. Military rites  were  handled
by Tri-C Post No. 464.
