The Tri-County News, Friday, April 27,  2001:  John  Anthony  McCrary,  55,
Conception Jct., died April 22, 2001, at Conception Jct.

He was born Aug. 22,  1945  in  Stanberry  and  had  worked  in  commercial
construction. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard.

Mr. McCrary married June Sybert on Nov. 17, 1974. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include a daughter,  Terri  Carmichael,  Maryville;  a
son, Galen McCrary, Atlanta, GA.; a sister,  Mary  Miller,  King  City  and
three grandchildren.

Mr. McCrary was preceded in death  by  his  parents,  Galen  and  Katherine
(Wiederholt) McCrary and a son, Johnny McCrary.

Memorial services were held at the Roberson-Polley Chapel in  Stanberry  on
April 27. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
