All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Stanberry Headlight, Gentry County, Missouri, Thursday, May 30, 1968, front page: Rites Held for Mrs. Hulda McGee: Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon in the Stanberry Christian church for Mrs. Hulda Alice McGee, 90, Stanberry, who was taken by death two days before at the Munro Nursing Home here following a long illness. The rites were conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Donald Tiller, and burial was in High Ridge cemetery under the direction of the Johnson Funeral Home. Survivors include her son, Paul H. Milroy, Stanberry; a brother, Leslie Caster, San Bernadino, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Rosie Mahurin, San Bernadino, and Mrs. Carrie Loch, Covina, Calif.; two grandchildren, Mrs. Beverly Lane and John L. Milroy, both of Stanberry and three great- grandchildren. Mrs. McGee, daughter of the late Ben and Ella O'Neal Caster, was born Mar. 24, 1878, at Island City. She and John C. Milroy were united in marriage in 1901. He preceded her in death in 1910. Later she and Everett McGee were united in marriage. Mr. McGee preceded her in death in 1947 in Jefferson City, where they resided for many years. Mrs. McGee at one time operated the Stanberry Hotel. She also during one period in her life operated the Linville hotel in Maryville. She was a member of the Stanberry Christian church.
