Born in Hugginsville on March 25, 1927, Mr. McGinley had been employed in construction for 48 years. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local No. 168 in Kansas City, KS. Mr. McGinley was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Florence (Valentine) McGinley; three brothers, William, Henry and Robert McGinley; four sisters, Della McGinley, Stella Besinger, Myrtle Mercer and Mable Waltemath. On Dec. 10, 1955, he married Glenda R. Hahn. She survives at the home. Additional survivors include two sons, Charles and Carl McGinley, both of Stanberry; two daughters, Ruth Smith, Stanberry and Janet Clements, Ravenwood; three sisters, Ruby Ellis, Maryville; Gertrude Clevenger, Kansas City and May Petty, San Jose, CA.; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on July 11 at Roberson-Polley Chapel in Stanberry, with burial in High Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Hands of Hope Hospice.
