McMillen, 64, Stanberry, died Sept. 2, 2000, at his home. Born on May 13, 1936, in Chillicothe, the son of Floyd and Tina McMillen, Jerry had also lived in the King City and Stanberry areas. He was a graduate of King City high school. He worked for the State Highway Department from 1957 to 1965, when he began working for the Farris Truck Line. In 1968 he began working as a trucker for Allison Concrete in Stanberry until 1994. Mr. McMillen was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Patricia Bradshaw; an infant son, Brandon; a sister, Jean Lovewell and a grandchild. He was grateful to have shared his life with his wife, the former Christina Anderson of the home; four sons, Rick, Joe and Jamie McMillen, all of Stanberry and Brad McMillen, Tokyo, Japan; two step-sons, Wayne and Charles Anderson, both of Stanberry; two step-daughters, Georgia Hall, Flatwood, KY. and Angela Anderson, Maryville; two brothers, Richard McMillen, Winterhaven, FL.; 13 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Memorial services were held on Sept. 6 at Johnson Funeral Home in Stanberry, with burial at a later date.
