All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Stanberry Owl-Headlight, Gentry County, Missouri, Tuesday, January 21, 1911: Death of Mrs. Messick: Euphema Alexander was born June 4, 1849, and died of cancer at her home near Stanberry, March 18, 1911. She was married to Perry Messick August 29, 1866, and was the mother of 12 children, 7 of whom are now living; Mrs. R. S. Montgomery, Mrs. C. Harkrider, Gilbert Messick and Mrs. J. L. Porter of Stanberry; Ervin J. Messick and Mrs. J. D. Robinson of Dixon, SD., and William Messick of Billings, Mont. Mrs. Messick had been a faithful Christian many years. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Chas. H. Brott, her pastor, Monday morning, at 10 o'clock, after which the remains were laid to rest in High Ridge cemetery.
