All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Stanberry Headlight, Gentry County Missouri, Thursday, October 24, 1968, page 7: Morris Obituary: Charles LeRoy Morris, son of the late George and Della Morris, was born February 25, 1894, at Stanberry, Mo. He died at the age of 74 at the Texas County Memorial hospital in Houston, Mo. He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a daughter, who died in infancy. Mr. Morris and the former Miss Mildred Lucile Ruch were united in marriage February 25, 1914. He joined the Stanberry Methodist church as a young man and later transferred his membership to the Methodist church in Mountain Grove, Mo. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucile Morris, of the home and a son, Robert Morris, Springfield, Mo. Mr. and Mrs. Morris moved from Stanberry to the Mountain Grove area in 1940. He farmed south of Mountain Grove until 1961, when ill health forced him to leave the farm and move to a home in Mountain Grove. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, October 14, in the Craig- Hurtt-Hutsell Funeral Home in Mountain Grove. Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon, October 15, at the High Ridge cemetery in Stanberry.
