All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Stanberry Headlight; Gentry County Missouri; Thursday, February 21, 1957: Final services will be held at 2 o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon in the stanberry Christian church for Thomas Albert Myrick, 84, who died Tuesday morning in the St. Francis hospital, Maryville, where he had been a patient since Saturday morning. The services will be conducted by the pastor, the Rev. O. Glenn Crosby, and burial will be in the High Ridge cemetery, under the direction of the Phillips Mortuary, Stanberry. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Eva Myrick, of the home on West Second street; three sons, Charles Myrick, St. Joseph, and Chester L. Myrick and Ernest T. Myrick, both of Stanberry; a daughter, Mrs. R. A. Callahan, Hiawatha, Kan.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Davis, Guthrie, Okla., and Mrs. Lou Weathered, Darlington. Mr. Myrick, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Myrick, was born in Gentry county on Dec. 22, 1872. He and the former Miss Eva Lena Sager were married Dec. 24, 1895, and spent all of their married life in Gentry county except for a few years during which they resided in St. Joseph. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary 14 months ago. After Mr. Myrick retired from active farming, he was still known as a expert on livestock.
