All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Tri-County News, Gentry County Missouri, Friday, January 28, 2005: Bernardine "Pat" Parrish, 85, Stanberry, died Jan. 24, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center in Albany. She was born April 24, 1919 in Philadelphia, PA.; the daughter of Denis and Johana (Grady) Murphy. She worked as a streetcar motorman/conductor in Philadelphia, when she was younger. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Old American Life Insurance Co. in Albany, for several years. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Stanberry. On March 13, 1953, she was united in marriage to Charles L. Parrish, who preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 16 brothers and sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Chirstine Ann Manion, McFall; a son, Dennis D. Hukill, Independence; a sister, Helen Oates, Philadelphia, PA.; two grandsons, Shannon Newby, Gentry and Jon Hukill, Platte City and three great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial was held on Jan. 28 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Stanberry. The body has been cremated. Inurnment was in High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry, under the direction of Roberson-Polley Chapel in Stanberry.
