Parrish, 74, Stanberry, died Nov. 5, 2001, at the Albany hospital. Mr. Parrish was a livestock buyer. During World War II, he served in the Army. Born in Gentry County on April 29, 1927, he was a member of the Raymond Sager American Legion Post No. 260 at Stanberry. Mr. Parrish was also a member of the Stanberry Saddle Club of which he was president and served on the board for the Opportunity Workshop in Stanberry. On March 13, 1953, he married Bernardine E. Murphy. She survives of the home. Mr. Parrish was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Dorothy (Terry) Parris and a brother, Donald Parrish. Additional survivors include a daughter, Christine Ann Parrish, McFall; a son, Dennis D. Hukill, Independence; two grandchildren and a great grandchild. Services were held Nov. 8 at Roberson-Polley Chapel in Stanberry. The body will be cremated following the service. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
