Born Oct. 15, 1917 in Rushville; she was the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Saunders) Patrick. She became a member of the Island City Christian Church in 1934. On Dec. 13, 1933, she was united in marriage to Harley James Phillippe. They started their life together on a farm in the Island City community. they had a total of 15 children, 12 sons and three daughters. One son, Robert Dennis Phillippe, was killed in a motorcycle accident on July 24, 1966. Harley preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, George, and two half-brothers, Robert and Phil Patrick. Survivors include sons, Loren and wife, Marilyn, St. Joseph; Norvin and wife, Mary Lou, Joplin; Guy and wife, Elwanda, Ida Lou, TX.; Ronald an wife, Diana, Stanberry; H. James, Wolfforth, TX.; George, Spanaway, WA.; Tom and wife, Karla, Helena; Jerry, Portland, OR.; Charles and wife, Linda, Maryville, Steven and wife, Sono, Spanaway, WA.; Richard, Stanberry; daughters, Anna Beach and husband David, Oskaloosa, KS.; Dolores Darrach and husband, Scott, Stanberry and Julia Wood, Stanberry; 30 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on April 25 at Roberson-Polley Chapel, with burial in High Ridge Cemetery, both in Stanberry.
