Gary L. Pierce 1943-2006
     STANBERRY, Mo. - Gary L. Pierce, 63, of Stanberry, passed away Wednesday,
     March 22, 2006, at his home. 

     Gary, the son of Lester E. and Elizabeth A. (Echterling) Pierce was born
     March 8,1943, in Gentry County, Mo.

     In 1951, Gary moved to California. He graduated from Brea, Calif., high
     school and Fullerton, Calif., junior college, and worked as a draftsman for
     Hughes Aircraft in Los Angeles, Calif. Later he worked for the State of
     Kansas, moving back to Stanberry in 1981 and working for Tempmaster in
     Albany, Mo., as a draftsman. For the past several years, he worked for
     Jerald Manring of Albany. 

     Gary was of the Baptist faith.

     He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ike and Stella Pierce, and
     Frank and Caroline Echterling.

     Survivors are his parents, Lester and Elizabeth; and sister, Sharon Pierce,
     all of Stanberry; and aunt and uncles, Lorene and Mel Mathews, Aumsville,
     Ore.

     The body has been cremated. Inurnment will be at a later date in the
     Hugginsville Cemetery. Arrangements are by Roberson-Polley Chapel,
     Stanberry.
