All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Tri-County News, Friday, September 29, 2000: Seth Thomas Redmond, 88, Stanberry, died Sept. 25, 2000, at a health-care center in Stanberry. Mr. Redmond and his wife, Golda, owned and operated a lunch counter and a grocery store in Stanberry until retiring in 1975. Born in Stanberry on May 8, 1912, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stanberry. On Jan. 25, 1932, he married Golda Dollars, She is deceased. Mr. Redmond also was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorma L. Thomas; his parents, Albert and Nora Redmond; seven brothers and sisters and a great- grandchild. Survivors include a grandson, Richard Thomas, Evansville, IL.; a granddaughter, Cathy Scott, Waterloo, IL.; a son-in-law, Clarence Thomas, Stanberry; four great-granddaughters and three great-great-grandchildren. Services were held at First Baptist Church on Sept. 21 and burial was in High Ridge Cemetery, both in Stanberry. Arrangements were handled by Roberson-Polley Chapel.
