All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Stanberry Headlight; Thursday, January 31, 1985: Homer Elvis Robertson, age 86 years and 24 days, passed away Saturday, January 26, 1985 at the Bethany Health Care Center in Bethany, Missouri. He was born January 2, 1899 in Gentry County, Missouri. The son of the late William Clarence and Myrtle Eliza Powers Robertson. On May 2, 1944 he was united in marriage to Maude Mae Bentley at Atchison, Kan. He had worked for the Homan Implement Company and the Lykins International Harvester Company both of Albany. He was also a retired Light Plant Engineer, for the Albany Light Plant. He had lived in Gentry County Missouri all his life and had lived in Alanthus since 1962 and was a member of the Church of Christ in Alanthus Grove. He was preceded in death by his wife Maude in April of 1980. Survivors include his son, Homer Robertson, Jr., Ozark, Alabama; one brother Ralph Robertson, Vancouver, Wash., four grandchildren and one nephew George Graham and a host of friends and loved ones. Funeral services were held Tuesday January 29, 1985 at the Johnson Funeral Home in Stanberry. The Rev. Merle Yeager officiating.
