Mr. Ross was born in 1930 and attended Gentry County schools. He was a carpenter. Mr. Ross served in the Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1956. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Stanberry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley Thomas and Thelma Ross; a brother, Frank Ross and a half-brother, Cliford Redmond. Survivors include a daughter, Lora L. Ross, St. Joseph; a son, Albert L. Ross, Jr., Wathena, KS.; two step-daughters, Rose A. Hughes and Sandra Parham, both of St. Joseph; a step-son, Larry Collings, St. Joseph; two brothers, Andy Ross and Dwayne Ross, both of Stanberry; two sisters, Ala Mann, Stanberry and Dorothy Carty, Greenville, TX.; three grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Nov. 4 at the Johnson Funeral Home with burial in High Ridge cemetery, Stanberry.
