All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Tri-County News, Friday, Perry Francis Sherry, 85, Stanberry, died Oct. 25, 2000, at LaVerna Village in Savannah. He was born Sept. 15, 1915, at Stanberry and had resided there most of his life. Mr. Sherry was a 1933 graduate of Stanberry high school and was a farmer. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Sherry was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Disabled American Veterans and was a former member of the Raymond Sager American Legion Post. Mr. Sherry was preceded in death by his parents, Perry A. and Mary S. (Baringer) Sherry and two sisters, Vandora Farmer and Phylis Haynes. Survivors include a brother, Charles E. Sherry, Stanberry and two sisters, Edna Curry, Stanberry and Ruby Schuster, St. Joseph. Funeral services were held on Oct. 28 at the United Methodist Church, Stanberry, with burial in High Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Johnson Funeral Home, Stanberry.
