Mrs. Shidler was born April 23, 1902, east of Ford City, and had lived in that area all her life. She was a homemaker and member of the former Maple Grove Baptist Church, east of Ford City, where she was a Sunday School teacher and member of the Women's Missionary Union. On April 16, 1924, near Ford City, she married Sanford G. Shidler, he preceded her in death March 27, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Mary Jane Boley Mann and three brothers, Wayne, Clifford and Dale Mann. Survivors include four nieces, Dolores Kline, St. Joseph; Charlene Daniels, Muscatine, IA.; Mary Ann Reifschneider, Wichita, KS., and Dixie Brown, Independence; two nephews, Don Mann, Independence and Verlin Mann, Dearborn. Funeral services were held on July 12 at the Gibson Funeral Home in King City, conducted by Rev. Doyle Sager. Music was provided by Betty Jo Howitt, organist and Sharon Grace vocalist. Pallbearers were Don Mann, Eric Mann, Dana Mann, Verlin Mann, Tony Stonebarger and Eldon Francis. Honorary pallbearer was Bob Daniels. Burial was in the Ford City cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice, in care of Gibson Funeral Home, P. O. Box 552, King City, MO.
