Taylor, 62, Stanberry, died July 8, 2005 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. She was born Dec. 6, 1942 in Pittsfield, IL.; the daughter of Sylvan and Pauline (Gebhart) Martin. Mrs. Taylor was a social worker, having been employed with the Stanberry Head Start. She was a member of the Stanberry First Baptist Church; Daughters of Sarah and the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Gary Martin. On Dec. 1, 1963, she was untied in marriage to Neil Taylor. He survives at the home. Other survivors include a daughter, Pam McCumber, Hale, MO. and a son, Jason Taylor and wife, Melissa, Stanberry; her mother, Pauline Martin, Jacksonville, IL.; sisters, Carolyn Lackscheide, Franklin, IL.; a brother, Donnie Martin, Indiana; five grandchildren, Mitchell and Taylor McCumber, Kobey, Deven and Derek Taylor. Funeral services were held on July 11 at the First Baptist Church, Stanberry. Burial was in High Ridge cemetery, Stanberry. Memorials may be given to the Gentry County Cancer Fund. Arrangements were handled by Roberson-Polley Chapel in Stanberry.
