All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Tri-County News, Gentry County Missouri, Friday, May 4, 2001: Douglas Hugh Walker, 41, Gentry, died April 26, 2001, at a St. Joseph hospital. He was born June 20, 1959 at Albany. Mr. Walker was a prominent area farmer. He was a 1977 graduate of Stanberry R-III high school; a member of the First Baptist Church, Stanberry and the Stanberry Rural Water Board, as well as the Albany Young Farmers. He was united in marriage to Pam Simbro on Aug. 2, 1980, at the First Baptist Church in Stanberry. She survives at the home. Additional survivors include two daughters, Ashley and Samantha Walker, of the home; his parents, Hugh and Phyllis Walker, Stanberry; a sister, Lisa Pierce, Stanberry; and his maternal grandmother, Ruth Wilson, Stanberry. Funeral services were held on May 1 at the First Baptist Church in Stanberry under the direction of Roberson-Polley Chapel, Stanberry. Burial was in the Knox Cemetery at Worth, MO.
