Quincy Walker, farmer near Alanthus, died suddenly at his home Monday morning. Elder Quincy Monroe Walker died suddenly of a heart attack suffered as he was returning from his morning chores at his farm home northeast of Alanthus about 8:30 o'clock Monday morning. Mrs. Walker was preceding him on their way to the house from their barnyard when he collapsed and died before he could be removed to the house. He had suffered from heart disease for several years. Elder Walker was an ordained minister of the Church of God, and had preached at the Pleasant Hill church north of Alanthus and the Gentry Church of God the past ten years. He was also a prominent farmer and had actively farmed all his life. He was 53 years of age and was born and had lived his entire life in the vicinity of Alanthus where he leaves many friends to mourn his death. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Nora Walker of the home; his mother, Mrs. Chrisanna Walker of Albany; one sister, Minnie Walker of Omaha, Neb.; three brothers, Earl and A. G. of Stanberry and Oliver of Albany; two half- sisters, Mrs. Sam Baker of Stanberry, and Mrs. Ira Summa of Gentry; two half-brothers, Frank Walker of Albany and Chester Walker of Conway, Mo. Funeral services were conducted for him at the Church of God in Stanberry at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon, by Elder Stanley Kauer of Stanberry. Burial was in High Ridge cemetery.
