All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Tri-County News, Friday, November 24, 2000: Anna Laura (Searcy) Webber, 97, Stanberry, died Nov. 15, 2000, at Gentry County Memorial Hospital in Albany. Mrs. Webber was born in Denver, MO., on Dec. 21, 1902. She lived most of her life in the Stanberry area, also living briefly in Maysville. She graduated from Albany high school and attended Maryville Normal School for two years and Palmer College in Albany for two years. Mrs. Webber taught school in the Stanberry area. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Stanberry. On Nov. 8, 1924, she married Edward Webber in King City. He survives at the home. Additional survivors include two daughters, Jean A. Wayman, Hamilton, TX. and Carol Sue Ross, Maysville; six grandchildren; two step- grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Webber was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Dollie L. Searcy and two brothers, Orby G. and Clifford W. Searcy. Funeral services were held on Nov. 18 at the Johnson Funeral Home with burial in High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry.
