Weller, 82, Clinton, died Mar. 31, 1994, at a Clinton, hospital. The son of the late George and Magnolia (Savage) Weller, he was born Jul. 21, 1911, in Gentry County. He graduated from Albany High School in 1929. He resided in Clinton the past two years. He formerly managed a retirement home. Mr. Weller was a World War II veteran. He served as an Airborne officer and received the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart for gallantry in action in the Southern France, Ardennes, Rome and Central Europe campaigns. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the California National Guard after the war. His wife, the former Faurot Teays, survives. Also surviving are a brother, O. W. Weller, Bethany, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were Apr. 4 at Grandview Cemetery, Albany, under direction of the Rev. Sandra Crater.
