Biographical Sketch of A. B. Dodson, Greene County, Missouri, North Springfield >From "History of Greene County, Missouri," St. Louis: Western Historical Company, 1883. ********************************************************************** This gentleman is the son of James M. and Mary Dodson, and was born in Maury County, Tennessee, February 11, 1847. His parents are yet living upon the old homestead in Tennessee. He came to Missouri in 1870, and farmed three years in Greene County. He then moved into Springfield and engaged in business. He began firing upon the St. Louis and San Francisco railroad in December, 1880, and has recently been promoted to engineer, and is now running an engine upon that road. Mr. Dodson was married in 1870 to Miss F. E. McMeen, of Maury County, Tenn.
