Biographical Sketch of Ethan Miller, Greene County, Missouri, Clay Township >From "History of Greene County, Missouri," St. Louis: Western Historical Company, 1883. ********************************************************************** Mr. Miller is the son of David and Susan (Warner) Miller, and was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, December 2nd, 1850. His grand- father was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. Ethan grew to manhood in his native county, and was educated at the Southwestern Normal Coll- ege. He then taught school for a short time, and in 1872 he came to Greene County, Missouri, and followed teaching and farming. In 1883 he, in partnership with Mr. H. B. Hill, engaged in general merchandis- ing business at Galoway Station in Clay township.
