Biographical Sketch of Jesse O. Redfearn, Greene County, Missouri, Center Township >From "History of Greene County, Missouri," St. Louis: Western Historical Company, 1883. ********************************************************************** Mr. Redfearn is the son of Josiah and Lucy K. (Bennett) Redfearn, old settlers of Greene County, the former a native of Tennessee, and the latter of North Carolina. Jesse was born in this county, April 10, 1856, and was reared on the farm and educated in the common schools. Like his father, he too, became a farmer, and continued this vocation till 1882, when, moving to Bois D'Arc, he engaged in the mercantile business with Messrs. Hoyal and Johnson, the firm style being Hoyal, Redfearn & Johnson. Mr. Redfearn was married December 21, 1877, to Miss Catherine H., daughter of Benjamin R. and Celia D. Johnson, of Greene County. Mr. and Mrs. Redfearn have had three children, named respectively, Bertha C., Carrie J. and William R.
