Biographical Sketch of W. W. Woodward, Greene County, Missouri, Cass Township >From "History of Greene County, Missouri," St. Louis: Western Historical Company, 1883. ********************************************************************** Mr. Woodward was born in Callaway county, Kentucky, December 6, 1824. In 1843 his father moved to Greene county, Missouri and engaged in farming. Our subject went to California in 1850, and returned to this county in June, 1855 and on December 4th, of that year, he married Miss Emily, daughter of William S. Landreth. His first wife died December 18, 1862, leaving one child, a daughter. Mr. Woodward was married the second time to Miss M. F. Gilmore, January 27, 1864. He has lived upon the farm, where he now makes his home, since 1864.
