Laney, Marie Ann May 31 1922-January 6 1997 "Beloved wife, mother and grandmother." This cemetery is located near Republic, Missouri. >From Republic take State Route 174 at U S 60 West about 5 miles to FR 31. Take FR 31 (left off highway) to FR 188 (about 1/2 mile). Directly across from FR 188 is a large, steel, red (faded to pink) gate. Go through the gate about 1/4 mile to cemetery. Lane was drivable as of April 6, 2001, seems to be well maintained. The land for the cemetery was deeded to the trustees in 1892. >From the Greene County Recorders office Deed Book 124 page 473 dated November 2 1892 it states "From G.M. and A.B. Laney, his wife, to James A Keatts, John W Washam, and G. F. Laney, trustees of the G. M. Laney cemetery. Pictures available for most of the headstones. .
