V, west of Galt. North on the gravel road NE 80th Av about 1.5 miles. West about 0.25 miles on the property owned by the Harod family. There is no direct road access to the cemetery. This unnamed cemetery is located in a pasture, but is fenced to prevent intrusion by farm animals. Access is by foot only after a quarter-mile hike from NE 80th Av. It has not been maintained and is overgrown with weeds, dense thorn bushes, and trees. The remnants of an old wire fence with a metal gate as an entrance are found on the south side of the cemetery. Outside the fence is a nice tombstone (toppled) for R.A. Israel. In honor of this person, we have dubbed this the "R.A. Israel Cemetery." The cemetery environment was very hostile making recording a real chore. Many stones were partially buried, broken, eroded, and discolored. We believe the information we recorded to be an accurate accounting of what was readable. A more thorough examination would undoubtably find more stones, both above and below ground, and better cleaning materials might bring out more information. The oldest burial is James BUNNELL, 1825, which we examined closely. We are very certain it is 1825, even though it predates the next burial there by 45 years. Perhaps it was a poor carving, or a mistake for 1875. Tombstones: BUNNELL, James S. d 20 Sep 1825 aged 65y 1m 18d DONALDSON, A. J. d 5 Jan 1902 aged 72y 11m 9d.
