FOGELSONG BIOGRAPHIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== FOGELSONG, Jonathan - b: 1831 Jackson Co, VA source: 1883 History of Henry Missouri , National Historical Co. - page: 765 residence: Bear Creek Twp Jonathan Fogelsong, farmer and stock raiser, section 17, is a native of Jackson County, Virginia, and was born September 27, 1831. His parents, John and Mary (Fox) Fogelsong, came originally from the same county. The former was a soldier of 1812. The. subject of this sketch was reared upon a farm in the county of his birth, and in 1854 he came west, and settled in Bates County, Missouri, where he lived eleven years. In 1865 he moved to Henry County. He was married in Cooper County, October 17, 1866, to Miss Martha E. Cordery, of Buchanan County, Missouri, and a daughter of G. R. Cordery. In the spring of 1871 he settled on his present place. He has 195 acres of land, well improved and adorned with a good bearing orchard of 120 apple trees of select varieties. He makes a specialty of feeding and raising stock for which his farm is well adapted. Mr. and Mrs. F. have one child, Cordelia J.
