GARRISON BIOGRAPHIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== GARRISON, Daniel R. - b: 1842 Woodford, IL source: 1883 History of Henry Missouri , National Historical Co. - page: 691 residence: Bogard Twp Daniel R. Garrison, farmer and stock raiser section 4, was born in Woodford, Illinois, July 4, 1842. His father, Jacob J. Garrison, was a native of New Jersey. He followed steamboating for a number of years and then engaged in farming. D. R. was the oldest of a family of five children. When he was fourteen years old his parents removed to Henry County, where he was brought up a farmer, being educated in the common schools. Upon arriving at manhood he commenced tilling the soil and now has a farm containing eighty acres of choice land, well improved. In 1861 he enlisted in Company A, Seventh Missouri State Militia, and remained in the field for about three years. January 20, 1866, Mr. Garrison was married to Miss Eliza Dunham, a native of Missouri.
