SHARP BIOGRAPHIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== SHARP, Joseph - b: 1821 Scotland source: 1883 History of Henry Missouri , National Historical Co. - page: 673 residence: Shawnee Twp Joseph Sharp, farmer and stock raiser, section 3, was born in Scotland, March 2, 1821, his parents being Robert and Elizabeth (Hair) Sharp, natives of Scotland. Joseph was the third in a family of six children. He grew to manhood in his native country and was there educated. In 1848 he emigrated to America and located in Bond County, Illinois, where he was engaged in farming until 1865, then coming to Henry County, Missouri. He owns a well improved farm of 260 acres, upon which is a good house, an orchard and out buildings. He is a member of the Old School Presbyterian Church. December 25, 1847, Mr. Sharp was married to Miss Ellen Scott, who was also born in Scotland.
