Tussey, photographic artist, is a native of Davie County, North Carolina, and was born November 23, 1856. He was there reared, and while a youth was engaged in clerking. In 1873 he went to Boonville, Missouri, and began learning the profession of photographing in the gallery of W. H. Peters. After one years time he bought his preceptor's gallery and continued the business in that city till July, 1878, when he came to Clinton, Missouri. Here he established a gallery, and in January, 1881, sold it to his brother and purchased Mr. Cory's photographing business. This he has since managed. He has the best fitted gallery in this city, and his reputation as a fine and experienced operator is widely and favorably known. Mr. Tussey was united in marriage October 25, 1877, to Miss Anna Simes, originally from Ohio. They have two children, George V. and Lulu. They are members of the M. E.
