BARNES OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== BARNES, Ruth A. WOOLERY abt 1915 - 1995 Mrs. Ruth A. Barnes, 80, Lowry City, died Sunday, May 21, 1995, at Truman Lake Manor in Lowry City. She was born near Osceola, and was a lifelong St. Clair area resident. She is survived by her husband Jack, of the home; one son, J. W. Barnes of Lowry City; two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Brewster of Lowry City and Mrs. Linda Cornett of Lee's Summit; one brother, Sherman Woolery of Lowry City; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, May 22, at 2 p.m., at the Lowry City Cemetery with Rev. Steve Elsey officiating. Burial was in the Lowry City Cemetery under the direction of Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home in Osceola. BARNES, Ruth Margaret TERRILL 1913 - 2000 Clinton Daily Democrat, Feb 10 2000 - Ruth Margaret Barnes, daughter of Robert Arthur Terrill and Gertrude Brogan Terrill, was born November 27, 1913, in Darksville, and died January 13, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka, Kansas. Ruth was united in marriage to George Barnes on November 14, 1937. George preceded her in death on January 27, 1985. Ruth and George had lived in Pleasanton, Kansas, Columbia and Clinton until Ruth moved to Topeka, Kansas, four years ago. Ruth was a 50-year member of Hope Chapter of Order of Eastern Star in Pleasanton, Kansas. She was a member of the Clinton Christian Church where she was active in the CWF and her Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the First Christian Church of Topeka, Kansas. She is survived by her three daughters, Judy Williams of Lee's Summit, Jane Newton of Fenton, and Diane Hall of Topeka, Kansas; her caregiver and grandson, Chris Williams of Topeka, Kansas; six other grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her sister, Alberta Smith of Lee's Summit, and her half-brother, Robert Terrill of Kansas City; as well as several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Vansant-Mills Chapel on Saturday, January 15, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Howard Cupp, Jr. officiating. The music was by Peggy Arthur. Pallbearers were Chris Williams, Jeremy Newton, Cory Williams, Greg Hall, Mark Deininger and Jeff Copeland.
