BENNETT OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== BENNETT, Marjorie Jeanne 1925 - 2000 Clinton Daily Democrat, Oct 12 2000 - Marjorie Jeanne Bennett was born to Virgil Lee and Wilbur Dewey Stanley Bennett, on November 9, 1925, in Brownington and died at Westwood Nursing Center in Clinton on September 26, 2000. Her grandparents were John and Willie Hines Bennett and William Daniel and Rilla J. Crawford Stanley. She was preceded in death by her sister, Billie Gilkey; her brother-in-law, R. C. Gilkey, and one brother, J. D. Bennett. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Richard Park; one son, David Bennett of Houston, Texas, and one sister, Betty McNichol of Vallejo, California, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Brownington Baptist Church and later attended the Allen Street Baptist Church, Clinton. She graduated from Deepwater High School in 1943. She worked a variety of jobs, later on becoming a home care giver for the elderly. She was better known as Jeanne to her friends and family. Everyone who knew her, knew of her love of life. She met every day with a smile and lived every day to its fullest. Jeanne never knew a stranger and would help anyone who needed it. She had two children but several others who called her Mom. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was entered into rest in Maplewood Cemetery, Brownington, surrounded by family and friends on September 30. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Gilkey, Tyler Gilkey, Jimmy Dale Sanders and Jerry Russell. Officiating was Alan Anzalone.
