BITTLE OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== BITTLE, James W. 1925 - 1991 James W. Bittle, 66, of Warsaw, passed away Thursday morning, September 19, 1991 at his home. He was born May 11, 1925 in Independence, the son of Wilberton and Dollie Bridges Bittle. He grew up in Independence and was united in marriage to Sylvia Clayton at Newark, Ohio on October 9, 1945. They moved to Independence where he was a cab driver for 35 years. They moved to Warsaw in 1986 where they were living at the time of his passing. He was a veteran of the US Navy during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Sylvia, of the home; two sons, David Bittle, Corpus Christi, Texas, Joe Bittle, Independence; four daughters, Louise Harrison, Warsaw, Katherine Delehant, Independence, Pat Campbell, Independence, Carolyn Sanderson, Warsaw; 15 grandchildren; 7 great- grandchildren; one brother, Harvey Bittle, Bates City; and 5 sisters, Nellie Vest and Dori Theil, Independence, Thelma Williams, Belton, Alice Inman, Independence, and Shirley Bennett, Warsaw. The body was cremated.
