BOLTON OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== BOLTON, James Ward 1925 - 1996 In memory of James Ward Bolton of Roscoe, born February 1, 1925, died July 21, 1996. James was well known for his fishing and hunting talents. He built cabins down on the river. He was a fine carpenter and hedge cutter. He worked for the Rock Island Railroad for 11 years. James was always a kid at heart. He liked to pull pranks all the time. He loved laughter and the outdoors. If a neighbor was down and out and needed a helping hand, he gave of himself as best he could. James was loving and kind at heart. One of his dreams was to catch a 100-pound catfish. The closest he came to his dream was two 97-1/2 pound catfish. His dream will come true now that he's walked through heaven's door. Dad passed away July 21, 1996, on Kristen's birthday and the day of our family reunion. He is survived by three sons, James Dale Bolton, Rock Springs, Wyoming, Darrell Bolton, Springfield, and Les Oliver, Chilhowee; four daughters, Letha Steward, Canton, Illinois, Shirley Bolton Pencock, Peoria, Illinois, Brenda Bolton Miller, Chilhowee, and Becky Grissom, Savannah; one sister, Anna Lee Smith, Sedalia, and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at the Consalus Chapel in Chilhowee with Rev. David Mifflin officiating. Special music selections were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden". Pallbearers were Jerry Miller, Troy Miller, Travis Miller, Jim Crawford, Robert Ganey and George Bruce.
