BOTKINS OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== BOTKINS, David Clark 1855 - 1933 Clinton Missouri 1933 - D. C. Bodkins died Tuesday morning at his home in Kansas City, 405 North Elmwood, from bronchial pneumonia. He had been in ill health for some time. Mr. Bodkins is a brother-in-law of Mesdames Willis Stevens and Sam Shadwell, of Clinton. The body was brought to Clinton Tuesday morning by the Sims Funeral Home, and the services will be conducted from the Funeral Home on North Main street, Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. by Rev. Mitchell. Burial will be in Englewood cemetery. Deceased is survived by his wife, a son, Carl, at home, and three daughters, Mrs. Roy Fellhauer, Mrs. Harry McMillian, and Mrs. Luda Rittermeyer, of Kansas City, who came to Clinton Tuesday. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. P. L. DeHardt, on West Allen street, Clinton, and Mrs. Sam Vail, of Stotesbury, Mo., who formerly lived here, and a brother and two sisters in Ohio. There are nine children and two great grandchildren. David Clark Bodkins was married to Miss Jennie Wray, of Clinton, 52 years ago in October and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary two years ago. Both congenial, happy people, they have made many friends. For many years they resided in Clinton, and Mr. Bodkins was a cooper. He made barrels for flour at the old mill in the south part of town, and before and after it burned, worked for L. E. Keyes. They moved to Kansas City about 15 years ago. Mr. Bodkins was born 77 years ago in Ohio. He was a faithful attendant of the Presbyterian church while in Clinton, and was a member of the M. W. A.
