BRADSHAW OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== BRADSHAW, Fern Melvina FRY 1913 - 2000 Clinton Daily Democrat, Clinton, MO, Apr 10 2000 - Fern Melvina Bradshaw, daughter of Charles Floyd and Vere Ford (O'Neil) Fry, was born March 3, 1913, in St. Joseph, and died at the Westwood Nursing Center, Clinton, on April 2, 2000, at the age of 87 years. Fern was married to Ortha Lee Bradshaw, who preceded her in death on November 13, 1994. She was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church. Fern is survived by one son, Wayne Bradshaw of Clinton; one brother, Charles P. Fry and wife, Norma, Clinton; one brother-in-law, Vaughn Korth of Bolivar; one sister, Zelma Knight and husband, Earl, Belton; one grandson; one granddaughter, Cindy Bathgate and husband, Jeff, Garden City; three great- grandchildren, Angie Bathgate, Adam Bathgate and Aaron Bathgate, all of Garden City, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Vansant-Mills Chapel on Tuesday, April 4, at 2 p.m. with Dr. David Maggi officiating. The music was "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace" sung by David L. Mills and Peggy Arthur with Mrs. Arthur as organist. Pallbearers were Wayne Wallace, R. J. Hetherington, Harold Anders, Dick Turner, Doug Turner and Morris Sheek. Burial was in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton. BRADSHAW, Melva Eli 1903 - 1978 Melva Eli Bradshaw, 74, died January 17, 1978, at his home, Kenton Place, Clinton. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Alice, of the home; three sons and four daughters. They are: Don Bradshaw, Clinton; Fred Bradshaw, Columbus, OH; Doug Bradshaw, Fort Collins, CO; Helen Wilson, Leeton; Virginia Weltman, Clearwater, FL; Dolores Rouse, Warrensburg; and Sharon Young, Fort Collins, Colorado. Mr Bradshaw is also survived by one brother, Lee Bradshaw, and one sister, Mildred Arnold, both of Clinton. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Consalus Funeral Home with burial in Englewood Cemetery. BRADSHAW, Ruby Faunita MARTIN 1909 - 1997 Ruby Faunita Bradshaw, 88, Clinton, died Tuesday, December 2, 1997, at Westwood Nursing Center, Clinton. - Ruby Martin Bradshaw died Tuesday, December 2, 1997, at the age of 88 years, six months and 18 days. She was born May 14, 1909, in Odessa, the oldest of four children of Edward and Sarah (Alumbaugh) Martin. She was united in marriage to George E. Bradshaw on January 23, 1929. To this union was born two sons, Wayne and Leland. They lived on a farm west of Clinton before moving to Clinton in 1957. Ruby was employed at the Wetzel Hospital for 14 years and Golden Valley Memorial Hospital for nine years, retiring in 1982. After retirement, she spent most of her time with her sons and families. She loved gardening, quilts and crafts. Ruby was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton. She is survived by one son, Leland Bradshaw and wife, Norma, Kansas City; one sister, Irene Anderson, Kansas City; one brother, Lee Martin, and wife, Ethel, Holden; eight grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; two nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, April 17, 1971, and her son, Wayne, June 5, 1989; also a brother, Charles Richard Martin, December 27, 1988. funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 5, at First Baptist Church, Clinton, with Rev. Dana Burris officiating. Eric Carter sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Because He Lives", accompanied by Scott Brooks, organist. Pallbearers were Randal Bradshaw, Bob Martin, Warren Bradshaw, Don Bradshaw, Tony Bradshaw, Martin Scott Bradshaw and Tim Bradshaw.
