BROOKS, Vera Lee abt 1895 - 1993

Mrs. Vera Lee Brooks, 98, Chilhowee, died Wednesday, March 24, 1993 in a nursing 
home in Warrensburg.  Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sunset 
Hill cemetery, Warrensburg.  Mrs. Brooks was a lifelong Chilhowee area resident.  
She taught grade school in rural Chilhowee.  She attended the Warrensburg 
Normal School.  Survivors include an aunt and cousin.


BROOKS, William "Scooter" abt 1966 - 1992

William "Scooter" Brooks, 26, Pocahontas, Ark., died Sunday, June 14.  
Authorities said that he drowned while swimming in the Eleven Point River, Ark.  
Survivors include his mother and father and two sisters, all of Pocahontas; one 
brother Donald Brooks of Clinton, and many friends.  Funeral services were 
Friday, June 19, at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas.
