BURRIS, Lena Dell KOGER 1895 - 1992

Lena Dell Burris, 96, Urich, passed away Saturday, April 25, 1992, at the St. 
Joseph Health Center, Kansas City.  She was born December 26, 1895, near Urich, 
the daughter of Jacob Daniel and Lulie Jane Vanarsdall Koger.  On December 26, 
1916, she was united in marriage to Thomas Ezra Burris and to this union 10 
children were born.  She was a member of the Union Church in Aaron, Missouri.  
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Gailen Burris, and one 
granddaughter, Heidi Burris.  She is survived by nine sons and daughters, Marvin 
Burris of Lee's Summit, Hobert Burris and his wife, Louise, of Lee's Summit, 
Wilfred Burris of Lenexa, Kansas, Celestine Gregory and her husband, Don, of 
Urich, Oletha Means and her husband, Charles of Montrose, Margie Brammeier and 
her husband, Paul, of Grandview; Genevieve Burris of Raymore, Neoma Beatty and 
her husband, Raymond of Grandview, and Joan Embry and her husband, Wayne, of 
Liberty; 24 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great-
grandsons.  Funeral services were Tuesday, April 28, at 11 a.m. at the Underwood 
Steinbeck Funeral Home in Butler with Pastor Janet Schnepf officiating.
