BYBEE OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== BYBEE, Jesse E. 1906 - 1997 Jesse E. Bybee was born August 24, 1906, north of Brownington in Henry County. He was the son of Henry Lewis and Mary Doss Bybee. He died Monday, January 13, 1997, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton at the age of 90. Jesse was a lifelong resident of this area and graduated from the Deepwater High School in 1924. On June 9, 1934, in Liberal, Kansas, he married Dovie Huskey. Jesse was a carpenter and also a farmer. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church and the Carpenters Union Local #1915. He is survived by his wife, Dovie, of the home; one daughter, Mary Crosswhite, Deepwater; three sons, Lewis Bybee, Sweet Springs, Robert Bybee, Arvada, Colorado, and Ron Bybee, Deepwater; one sister, Moreen Gehlken, Clark; 14 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, William Lee Bybee, in 1982. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18, at the Consalus Chapel, Clinton. Brother Carl Whitaker and Brother Kenneth Shinn officiated. The Mt. Zion Methodist Church Choir sang "Still Sweeter Every Day" and "A Child Of The King". A granddaughter, Sharon Allen, sang "How Great Thou Art". Organist was Scott Brooks. Pallbearers were Tom De Lap, Aaron De Lapp, Brett Bybee, Bob Bybee, Alva F. Allen III, Robbie Hunter, Rodney Baumgarden and Doug Wright.
