CARVER OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== CARVER, Golda Mable CORRELL 1904 - 1925 "In the midst of life we are in death." God has again sent the reaper of death to the ripe fields of harvest and gathered a sheaf more precious than all the world. Golda Mable, only daughter of Chas. and May Correll, was born May 15th, 1904, on the old Cruce place, near Delmar, and passed away at the home of her parents, south of Urich, Mo., June 25, 1925, at 10:25 p.m., at the age of 21 years, 1 month and 10 days. She was united in marriage to Everett Carver, of Appleton City, February 15, 1925, who with her father, mother and one brother, and a host of other relatives and friends are left to mourn her departure. Deceased was a member of the Methodist church at White Oak, having been converted in early girlhood. She was their pianist for some time and was ever willing to do what she could. She had been sick for about ten weeks, and bedfast about seven weeks. All that a devoted husband, loving parents, a kind physician and faithful friends could do was done to relieve her suffering, but all could not stay the hand of death. Golda was a dear, sweet girl, a devoted wife, a loving and obedient daughter, a kind sister and a real sunbeam to all. She bore her intense suffering with great patience and was so hopeful that she would get well and could return to her own home, which she and Everett had planned only four short months ago. Funeral services were conducted from the White Oak church at 3 o'clock p.m., June 26th, by Rev. Blaine, of Lucas, after which the pallbearers, who were classmates of hers in Sunday School, bore her gently and lovingly to the cemetery near by. Her Sunday School teacher and girls of her class carried the profusion of beautiful flowers, which testified of the love for this sweet girl. Rev. Blaine spoke words of comfort and consolation to the bereaved ones and a choir composed of friends from Lucas and White Oak sang several beautiful selections. CARVER, Narcissus Ann WOOD AARON 1839 - 1913 Mrs. Narcissus Ann Carver died Wednesday, December 10, 1913 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Grant Stevens, near Hartwell, Mo. A short funeral service was conducted by the writer at the home on December 11, after which we bore the body tenderly to Hickory Grove cemetery where services were conducted by T. B. R. Hackney of this city. Narcissus Ann Carver was born in Mississippi, September 23, 1839. She came to Missouri in 1868. She married three times - first, Mr. Wood; second to Mr. Aaron, who was the father of J. D. Aaron of Urich, Mo. In 1871 she was married to Noah Carver and lived near Hickory Grove until about 1882, when they moved to Lawrence County, Mo., where Mr. Carver died in 1885. To this union with Noah Carver were born the following children: Joseph H. Carver, Jackson Patt Carver, Noah Carver, Albert Carver, and Nancy Perdelia Carver. At the time of Mr. Carver`s death she was left in poor circumstances with a family of five children. Later she returned to Henry County, Mo. settling in the community from which she had gone. She met the conflicts of life with a brave and cheerful heart and reared her children to honorable manhood and womanhood, and no mother could love them better than she did. The last 12 or 15 years she had spent living among her children. ==================================================================== USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
