CLITES, Margaret F. COWHERD 1911 - 1996

Margaret F. Cowherd Clites was born October 20, 1911, in Campbellsville, 
Kentucky, the daughter of Robert and Ermine (Coakley) Cowherd. She died 
Thursday, October 17, 1996, at the Rosewood Medical Center in Houston, Texas, 
at the age of 84. Margaret was married to Leslie Clites, who preceded her in 
death April 10, 1986. She lived in Nebraska and in Aurora, Colorado, which she 
considered home. In 1953 she moved to Blairstown. Then in the early 1980's she 
moved to Clinton. She lived in Illinois for a year prior to moving to Houston, 
Texas, in 1991. Mrs. Clites was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of 
Clinton. She is survived by one son, Paul L. Clites and wife, Nancy, of Katy, Texas, 
and two grandchildren, Jonathan and Ashley. Funeral services were held at 10 
a.m. Tuesday, October 22, at the Consalus Chapel in Clinton. Rev. Richard Pierson 
officiated. A special music selection was "Amazing Grace" played on the organ by 
Scott Brooks. Burial was in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, under the direction 
of the Consalus Funeral Home, Clinton.
